Naipunnya Public School, Edakkunnu is a unit under Naipunnya Educational and Charitable Trust,
promoted and managed by the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. The school is located in a serene
and scenic rustic area of Edakkunnu, 5 Km east of Adlux International Convention Centre & Appolo
Hospital, Karukutty. The school imparts quality education from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th Standard.
The team Naipunnya is working hand in hand with an aim of overall integrated development of each
student to carve them out to be the best.

In the initial stage, the Lower Section of Kindergarten started functioning in the year 2003 on the
campus of Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology (NIMIT) Pongam under the aegis
of Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kalappurackal. With the guidance of the superiors, his efforts and hard work
in fructifying the vision to facilitate good education for children of the area, prepare and nurture
them to be confident to compete with students passing out from a modern school in other parts of the
state materialised in erecting a small building, presently the Naipunnya Junior School.
In 2004, LKG to V standard started functioning from the present location. The school was affiliated with CBSE,
New Delhi in the year 2006 and has grown into one of the best schools in the area. The first batch of Class X
passed out in the year 2009-2010 and Class XII in the year 2011-12, both with 100% results. Gradually, along
with academic growth, infrastructure development was also inevitable to cater to the requirement, and a part
of the present building was constructed.
